The evening of October 7, 2016 TJ, my daughter Kenzie and I were playing in Kenzie's bedroom. I knew TJ was going to propose soon, but I had no idea it was going to happen on this particular night.

TJ got up and walked out of her bedroom, and I heard him rustling around in the closet - I asked him what he was doing and all he said was "hang on"...

When he returned to the bedroom, he had a BEAUTIFUL bouqet of flowers with him, my initial instinct was that he had done something wrong, and I immediately asked him what he did...

He handed them to me, helped me up [I was sitting on the ground] and pulled out a little silver box that he had hiding on the rocking chair.

TJ got down on one knee and said to Kenzie "Come here, I have to show you something". When she walked over to him, he opened the box and she said "WOWWW" then proceeded to remove the ring from the box and put it on her finger, TJ then asked Kenzie if he should ask Mommy to marry him and she said "YES!!!!! Mommy, will you marry us?!?" and tried to hand me the ring.

Overwhelmed with emotion, I looked at TJ, who had taken the ring back from Kenzie and said "Will you marry me?"

I accepted (OBVIOUSLY) and he put the ring on my finger!!!

This was one of the most amazing nights of my life!!!!! I couldnt wait to tell everyone that I was ENGAGED!!!!!! (For those of you that are unaware... I had been WAITING for this to happen!!) The picture above is what I sent to my closest friends and family, and I then called my mom, and best friends to let them know the good news!!!! Later we drove over to my moms house so she could see the ring, and hear the story; my dad was with my sister in Mississauga, so I had a skype chat with them to show off my new bling!!!

Planning began IMMEDIATELY!!! I cant wait to marry my best friend in May 2017. <3
